Daikin Qormi Hockey Club juggernaut keeps on rolling
Daikin Qormi picked up where they left off last season by the taking the Super Cup, the hockey seasons first honour. The reigning Champions and KO Winners emphatically saw off the challenge of perennial rivals Sliema Hotsticks by four goals to nil. The difference between the sides was simple enough. Qormi took their chances while Sliema Hotsticks did not. The first quarter started quietly as both sides got the rustiness out of their system following the summer break. The game sprang into life in the final five minutes of the quarter as Qormi goalkeeper effected a fine double save to thwart Sliema. Daikin Qormi took the ball up the other end and from the rebound off a short corner move Luke Bajada put them into the lead.
