Mis-sena 2004, l-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports, li f’dik is-sena kienet għadha magħrufa bħala l-Għaqda Kittieba Sports bdiet tagħti rikonoxximent għall-karriera lil dak il-ġurnalist membru li għal aktar minn 25 sena kien ta’ kontribut għall-iżvilupp tal-ġurnaliżmu sportiv u wisq aktar ikun ta sehem fl-iżvilupp tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports . Fl-istess waqt dan ir-rikonoxximent kien intiż sabiex fih innifsu jkun xhieda storika ta’ dak li twettaq mis-sena 1970.

From the year 2004, the Malta Sports Journalists Association, which in that year was still known as the Għaqda Kittieba Sports (Sports Writers Association), began to give career recognition to that member journalist who for more than 25 years has contributed to the development of sports journalism and much more has contributed to the development of the Malta Sports Journalists Association. At the same time, this recognition was intended to be in itself a historical testament to what has been accomplished since 1970.
