Four Malta Sports Journalists Association members have been chosen among seven candidates to attend a four day Job Shadowing experience with one of Europe’s leading Sports Newsroom namely Sky Italia Spa. The four young journalists are Robert Busuttil, Nigel Mifsud (TVM), Matthew Mamo (media.link Communications) and Gianluca Lia (Freelance). They will be accompanied for this experience by MSJA General Secretary Sandro Micallef who held discussions with the Italian media house over the past months. The interviewing board was formed by Charles Camenzuli President MSJA, Sandro Micallef MSJA General Secretary and Pierre Cassar CEO Malta Broadcasting Authority. The Job Shadowing will be held between the 19th and the 23rd October 2015. Malta Sports Journalist Association Executive member and PRO Nigel Mifsud has won the Sports Broadcasting Journalism Award in the 2015 edition of the traditional Awards ceremony organised by the Malta Institute of Journalists - IGM. The Executive Committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association has congratulated Mr Mifsud for this personal achievement. Nigel Mifsud in the photo (right) is seen with Sandro Micallef General Secretary of the MSJA who was also a finalist in this category.

The Malta Sports Journalists Association has organised with success its Annual General Meeting for the year 2014/15. The meeting was summoned for Wednesday 15th July 2015 and was held at the San Benedettu Sports Complex in Kirkop. The meeting was well attended and proved to be very useful for the MSJA members. General Secretary Sandro Micallef read out the minutes of the previous AGM after the traditional address of President Charles Camenzuli.
