Ħamrun Spartans FC were presented with the coveted Team of the Year Trophy after their recent triumph at the 63rd edition of the SportMalta Awards Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali. The presentation was made on Saturday prior to the BOV Premier League match kick off between Ħamrun Spartans and G/ira United. Ħamrun Spartans won the Team of the Year Award during the last edition of the SportMalta Awards which was organised by the Malta Sports Journalists Association together with SportMalta. This edition covered the sporting achievements of the year 2022. The presentation of the trophy was done by Malta Sports Journalists Association President Sandro Micallef to Ħamrun Spartans' captain Steve Borg in the presence of his team mates, officials in front of their numerous supporters who present at the National Stadium in Ta' Qali. Is-Sibt qabel il-logħba bejn Ħamrun Spartans u Gżira United saret il-preżentazzjoni tat-trofew tat-Tim tas-Sena lil Ħamrun Spartans. Ħamrun Spartans rebħu l-unur tat-Tim tas-Sena fl-aħħar edizjoni ta’ SportMalta Awards Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali organiżżata mill-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports flimkien ma’ SportMalta. Din l-edizzjoni kienet tkopri l-perjodu tas-sena 2022. Il-Preżentazzjoni tat-trofew saret minn Sandro Micallef President tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports lill-captain ta’ Ħamrun Spartans Steve Borg fil-preżenza tat-tim kollu. Din kienet biss it-tielet darba li tim tal-futbol rebaħ l-unur tat-tim tas-Sena fl-Isportivi Nazzjopnali. Fil-passat rebħu dan l-unur Sliema Wds fl-1996 u Valletta FC fl-1997. Francesca Clark has been awarded the Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month Award for the month of February In the month of February, she won her third Triple Crown (meaning winning the Women's Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles categories) at the age of 17 in the Malta National Championships 2023 organised by Badminton Malta. Francesca is also achieving results in the international sphere both in the official Junior and Senior Circuit Competitions. In the Slovak Junior she reached the round of 16 in the Women's Doubles and won Bronze in the U17 Portugal Open. In the Yonex Israel Open she reached the semi-finals of the Mixed Doubles together with Sam Cassar. She has been playing badminton for over eight years and has also won several junior titles in the past.
