Rugby Europe launched a new Club Competition

  Loic Tournier who's a French intern with the Malta Sports Journalists Association, participated in an online press conference organized by Rugby Europe on Wednesday 7th July 2021 at 11am Central European Time. Octavian Morariu (President and IOC Member) and Florent Marty (CEO) presented to the media a new competition dedicated to European clubs. The floor was then opened for a Question & Answer session.     The Super Cup will be the first ever club competition organised by Rugby Europe, starting in September 2021. 8 clubs from 7 countries (Russia, Israel, Georgia, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium) will be split in 2 conferences, the Eastern and the Western. Each club will play home and away fixtures in six rounds between September and December. The winners of the 61st edition of the SportMalta Awards Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali finally get hand on coveted trophies

Recently some of the winners of the 61st edition of the SportMalta Awards Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali could get hand on the coveted trophies. The presentation was held in presence of the last edition’s sponsors at the Malta Sports Journalists Association’s office. The 61st edition was a unique one due to the Covid19 pandemic situation, with a virtual ceremony thus without finalists and guests. The follwing trophies were given: Sports Team of the Year – MALTA NATIONAL FEMALE FOOTBALL TEAM (Football) Sports Coach of the Year – DEVIS MANGIA (National Men Football Team Coach) Sports Official of the Year – JOSEPH MUSCAT (General Secretary Malta Basketball Association) People’s Choice Award  - MARK MARLOW (President Malta Employees Sport Association) Special Olympics Male Athlete Award – MARK SERGE (Ten Pin Bowling) Special Olympics Female Athlete Award – KLARA ZAMMIT (Open Water Swimming). Ftit tal-ġranet ilu, uħud mir-rebbieħa tal-61 edizzjoni tal-iSportMalta Awards Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali, flimkien mal-isponsors, ġew mitluba jattendu għall-preżentazzjoni qasira fl-uffiċju tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports. Is-serata finali li kienet saret nhar is-Sibt 13 ta’ Marzu, ma setgħetx issir bħas-soltu fil-preżenza ta’ dawk kollha involuti u ma setgħux jingħataw it-trofej lir-rebbieħa.
