Matthew Galea Soler jirbaħ l-Atlas Atleta Żagħżugħ tax-Xahar għal Lulju

Matthew Galea Soler ingħata l-unur tal-Atlas Atleta Żagħżugħ tax-Xahar għal Lulju. Malta permezz ta’ Matthew Galea Soler rebħet l-ewwel midalja fl-Istorja fil-European Youth Olympic Festival. Galea Soler daħal fit-tielet post u rebaħ il-midalja tal-bronż fil-finali tal-400 metru u għamel ukoll l-aqwa ħin personali ta’ 48.84 sekonda. Dan il-ħin huwa wkoll rekord nazzjonali fil-kategoriji ta’ taħt it-18-il sena, ta’ taħt l-20 sena u ta’ taħt it-23 sena. Il-European Youth Olympic Festival, li jsir għall-atleti Ewropej ta’ bejn l-14 u t-18-il sena, din is-sena sar f’Banska Bystrika, fl-Islovakkja. It-trofew tal-Atlas Atleta Żagħżugħ tax-Xahar għal Lulju 2022 kif ukoll il-vawċer ta’ abbiljament sportiv abbinat ma’ dan il-premju ġew ippreżentati lil Matthew Galea Soler minn Robert Micallef, Chief Commercial Officer ta' Atlas Insurance. L-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports kienet irrappreżentata mill-President Sandro Micallef, is-Segretarju Ġenerali Lorraine Cunningham u l-Amministratur Stephen Azzopardi. Matthew Galea Soler wins the Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month Award for July

Matthew Galea Soler has been awarded the Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month Award for the month of July 2022. Malta has won the first ever medal in the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), thanks to this up-and-coming athlete. Galea Soler placed third in the 400m final race and registered a personal best of 48.84 thus being awarded the bronze medal. The EYOF is specifically organised for young European athletes aged between 14 and 18 and this year it was held in Banska Bystrika, Slovakia. The trophy for the July 2022 Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month, together with the sports apparel voucher, were presented to Matthew Galea Soler by Robert Micallef, Chief Commercial Officer of Atlas Insurance. Ippreżentata t-Tazza Għaqda Ġuranlisti Sports lil Sirens ASC

Nhar is-Sibt 6 ta' Awwissu 2022 intlagħbet il-finali tat-Tazza Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports, bejn Sirens u Exiles. Finali mill-isbaħ biż-żewġ tims dejjem baqgħu ras imb’ras fejn sa tmiem it-tielet sessjoni r-riżultat kien dak ta’ 9-9. Kienu Sirens li rebħu din it-Tazza hekk kif rebħu l-aħħar sessjoni 5-2 għal skor finali ta’ 14-11 favur it-tim minn San Pawl il-Baħar. Fi tmiem il-logħba saret il-preżentazzjoni tat-Tazza Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports miż-żewġ membri tal-Eżekuttiv tal-GħĠS Mark Muscat u Domenic Aquilina lil John Napier captain ta' Sirens.

Sirens ASC presented with the Malta Sports Journalists Association Cup

Sirens and Exiles were the protagonists of the exciting Malta Sports Journalists Association Cup Final, played on Saturday. Both teams remained head to head, with the third session ending 9-9. Sirens won the last and decisive session 5-2, putting the final score at 14-11 for the Northenders' team. After the end of the match, Malta Sports Journalists Association Executive Members Mark Muscat and Dominic Aquilina presented the trophy to Siren's captain John Napier.
