Jittelgħu l-Poloz tat-Tournament tradizzjonali ta’ Boxing Day

Fil-kwartieri ġenerali tal-MFA illum ittellgħu l-poloz tal-logħbiet tat-Tournament tradizzjonali ta’ Boxing Day li jiġi organizzat kull sena. Fl-ewwel logħba it-team iffurmat mill-ġurnalisti tal-Isport se jkun qed jilgħab kontra t-team iffurmat mill-impjegati tal-MFA. Għalkemm dan it-Tournament jiġi organizzat fuq inizjattiva tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports it-tliet assoċjazzjonijiet l-oħra jiġifieri l-MFA, l-MFRA (Malta Football Referees Association) u l-MFCA (Malta Football Coaches Association) jagħtu l-kontribuzzjoni tagħhom sabiex tinzamm it-tradizzjoni li dan it-Tournament jibqa’ jiġi organizzat min sena għal sena hekk kif ilu jsir sa mis-snin 80′. Malta’s top cueist meets Parliamentary Secretary Stefan Buontempo

Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport Stefan Buontempo met Malta’s top snooker player Tony Drago. During the meeting Dr Buontempo was given a brief account of Mr Drago’s latest international participation in the World Snooker Tour. Mr Drago now 48 spent some days in Malta for a short break before his next international commitments that will resume this Tuesday at the World Cup of Pool which will be held in London. The “Tornado” as he is referred to among snooker fans, explained to Dr Buontempo that his international participation has now expanded also to the Pool game with the player accepting more invitations to tournaments for 9 and 10 Ball events. Malta Sports Journalists Association holds Extraordinary General Meeting

 The Malta Sports Journalists Association – Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports (A.D. 1970) has organized an Extraordinary General Meeting to approve the 2012 Financial Statements after the former Association’s Treasurer Mr Mario Meli failed to attend and present such statements in the last Annual General meeting. Moreover, the Association’s newly elected treasurer Antoine Dalli, presented GħĠS’s financial projections for the coming years.   The GħĠS also put forward for the members’ approval, a revised and updated statute which now reflects the changes that have evolved during the past decade in the media industry. Clinton Buhagiar and Sandro Micallef, GħĠS officials, handled the statute’s revision which was last updated in the 90′s. During his speech, GħĠS President Charles Camenzuli revealed the new GħĠS trophy which will be distributed to the winners during the annual sports awards night – l-Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali.
