Haley Bugeja wins October Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month award

Malta National Team and US Sassuolo Calcio Femminile player Haley Bugeja has been named as the winner of the October 2020 Atlas Youth Athlete of the month award. During the month of October Bugeja distinguished herself with her Club US Sassuolo in the Italian Serie A Femminile where she secured the starting lineup jersey in all of US Sassuolo's games played in October. Additionally she managed to score again in the League's Match Day 6 against Florentia San Gimignano in a 3-1 win for US Sassuolo. Bugeja had made a huge impact in the Italian Serie A Femminile when on her debut on 5th September 2020 as she has netted a brace in Match Day 3 in a 3-1 home win against Napoli Femminile. 12-il ġurnata ‘il bogħod minn #MJA30

Il-Kummissjoni responsabbli mill-Malta Journalism Awards fi ħdan l-Istitut tal-Ġurnalisti Maltin (IĠM), tinsab għaddejja bl-aħħar tħejjijiet relatati mat-30 Edizzjoni tal-unuri li jippremjaw l-aqwa xogħol ġurnalistiku f’Malta. L-edizzjoni ta’ din is-sena se tippremja ix-xogħol li sar matul l-2019, b’rekord ta’ 171 sottomissjoni. Minkejja l-isfidi li ġabet magħha il-pandemija, il-Kummissjoni ħadet ħsieb li filwaqt li ssegwi l-istruzzjonijiet kollha mill-awtoritajiet tas-saħħa, xorta torganizza ċerimonja finali li fiha jitlaqqgħu l-persuni kollha li ssottomettew xogħolhom għal dawn l-unuri. L-edizzjoni ta’ din is-sena se ssir nhar is-Sibt  14 ta’ Novembru 2020, fil-lukanda Corinthia San Ġorġ, San Ġiljan. Għall-ewwel darba, iċ-ċerimonja finali se tixxandar dirett fuq TVM2 mit-20:00hrs ‘il quddiem. 12 Days until #MJA30

The Malta Journalism Awards Commission within the Institute for Maltese Journalists (IĠM), is currently in the final stages of the work related to the 30th Edition of the awards night that are aimed at celebrating the best journalist work on the island. This edition will be awarding the work published during 2019, registering a record of 171 submissions. Despite the challenges in place due to current COVID-19 pandemic,the Commission will still be organising the final ceremony, whereby all applicants have been invited amongst the limited number of guests invited, in line with the health authorities instructions and regulations. This year’s edition will be held on Saturday 14th November 2020, at the Corinthia Saint George’s Bay, St Julian’s. For the first time, the final ceremony will be broadcast live on TVM2 from 20:00hrs onwards.
