Sirens ASC 15 year old swimmer Sash Gatt has claimed the 'Atlas Youth Athlete of the month' award for the month of August 2020. Gatt was chosen as the winner of the August award following her outstanding results obtained both locally and internationally. The young athlete started swimming at the relatively young age of seven and has achieved significant success ever since. She won her first medal at the age of eight, at the Maltese National Championships, followed by another medal the following year, where she participated in her first international competition at the Kaos V.Trofeo in Sicily. Sasha was selected to participate in the COJI Games also held in Sicily in 2018, winning three bronze medals. L-għawwiema ta' 15 -il sena ta' Sirens ASC Sasha Gatt rebħet l-unur tal-Atlas Żagħżyugħa tax-xahar għal Awwissu 2020. Gatt intgħażlet bħala r-rebbieħa ta' dan l-unur wara r-riżultati li kisbet f'kompetizzjoni loklali u anke internazzjonali matul dan ix-xhar. Gatt bdiet tgħum fl-eta' ta' seba' snin u gradwalment bdiet tirreġistra riżultati tajba. Ta' tmien snin rebħet l-ewwel midalja tagħha fil-Kampjonati Nazzjonali tal-Juniors u sena wara rebħet midalja fl-ewwel esperejenza tagħha internazzjonali fil-kompetizzjoni Kaos V.Trofeo fi Sqallija. Hi kienet intgħażlet sabiex tieħu sehem fil-COJI Games fis-sena 2018, fejn hemm rebħet tliet midalji tal-bronż. L-ewwel National Short Course Record, għamlitu ta' 13 -il sena fit-800m freestyle fl-Opera Swim Classics Short Course Meet li kien sar fis-26ta' Ottubru f'Wuppertal, il-Ġermanja f'ħin ta' 09.21:90. Ix-xahar ta' Awwissu 2020 ra lil Gatt iżied fuq il-wirjiet u r-riżultati preċedenti tagħha sabiex f'kompetizzjoni internazzjonali fl-Islovenja hi kisret l-Age Group D Record fil-200m Freestyle meta waqqfet l-arloġġ f'ħin ta' 2:09,72 [...]

Il-baħħar żagħżugħ Richard Schultheis rebaħ l-unur tal-‘Atlas Youth Athlete of the month’ għax-xahar ta’ Lulju 2020. Schultheis intgħażel bħala r-rebbieħ ta’ dan l-unur wara r-riżultati eċċezzjonali li kellu tul ix-xahar ta’ Lulju fejn rebaħ waħda mill-aktar kompetizzjonijiet ta’ prestiġju organizzati mill-Federazzjoni Taljana tal-Ibburdjar. Din kienet l-ewwel kompetizzjoni tal-istaġun wara li tkomplew il-kompetizzjonijiet tal-Ibburdjar ta' din il-kategorija wara l-kriżi tal-pandemija COVID-19 fil-perjodu bejn Frar u Mejju. Richard Schultheis li ġej minn familja ta' baħħara u skippers ta' esperjenza ddomina f'din ir-Regatta li saret fiċ-Circolo Vela Arco fil-kategorija 29er. Wara għaxar provi f’riħ il-ħin kollu jvarja minn jum għall-ieħor, Richard Schultheis li għad għandu 15-il sena, wera li hu kien se jimmira għall-podju hekk kif beda jiddomina ġurnata wara l-oħra. Flimkien mal-pruwier Max Koerner, Schultheis rebaħ b’distakk ta’ 22 punt fuq il-koppja Marco Corrado u Matteo Catalano ta’ Centro Vela Bari mill-Italja. Young Sailor Richard Schultheis was named as the 'Atlas Youth Athlete of the month’ for the month of July 2020. Schultheis was chosen as the winner of the July award after his recent success in one of the most prestigious international regattas organised by the Italian Sailing Federation. Schultheis managed to win this competition which was the first one since such sailing competitions resumed after the COVID-19 pandemic of the February - May period. Richard Schultheis who hails from a family of sailors and experienced skippers won the 29er category of this Regatta which was held in the Circolo Vela Arco. Following 10 days of practice in a variety of wind conditions, Schulthies 15, showed great skills to dominate the actual competition. The Maltese young sailor who was competing along with Max Koerner won with a 22 point difference from runners up Marco Corrado and Matteo Catalano who were representing the Italian Club Centro Vela Bari.
