150 student tas-sekondarja jsiru jafu aktar dwar il-professjoni tal-ġurnaliżmu sportiv

Fuq inizjattiva tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports, matul din is-sena skolastika ngħata bidu għal proġett edukattiv bil-kollaborazzjoni tal-Kumitat Olimpiku Malti u bl-appoġġ tal-Ministeru għall-Edukazzjoni u x-Xogħol. Waqt żjara li għamel waqt l-aħħar sessjoni ta’ din is-sena skolastika, il-Ministru għall-Edukazzjoni u x-Xogħol Evarist Bartolo faħħar din l-inizjattiva li tikkumplimenta s-sistema tal-edukazzjoni prattika. Il-Ministru spjega li matul din is-sena skolastika saru b’kollox ħames żjarat fi skejjel imħallta bejn skejjel tal-gvern, privati, u anke tal-Knisja, fejn ingħatat l-opportunità lill-istudenti, li kienu jvarjaw bejn studenti tat-tielet, tar-raba’ u tal-ħames sena, jesperjenzaw professjoni partikolari li forsi ftit li xejn tisemma bħala karriera possibbli li wieħed jista’ jimraħ fiha. Is-Segretarju Parlamentari għaż-Żgħażagħ, Sport u Għaqdiet tal-Volontarjat Clifton Grima inkoraġġixxa lill-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports u lill-Kumitat Olimpiku Malti sabiex ikomplu jaħdmu flimkien b’ideat oħra wara s-suċċess ta’ dan il-proġett. The Malta Sports Journalists Association congratulates the Malta Olympic Committee for the total of 5 medals won at the Commonwealth games.

The Malta Sports Journalists Association congratulates the Maltese Sports Community for winning a bronze medal at the Commonwealth games in Gold coast 2018 by the Women’s four team in the Lawn Bowls. The Sports Media would like to compliment not only the four women players that just won the medal at the commonwealth games in the lawn bowls but also the Malta Olympic Committee for this great success. This medal followed the other four medals that were won in the past in the Commonwealth games from Judoka Laurie Pace in 1990 in Auckland New Zealand (Bronze in Judo), William Chetcuti in 2002 in Manchester and 2006 in Melbourne (Bronze in the double Trap) and Rebecca Madyson in 200 in Melbourne (Silver in the double Trap). The Malta Sports Journalists Association compliments Malta’s trap shooter Brian Galea

The Malta Sports Journalists Association compliments with great satisfaction the result of Malta’s trap shooter Brian Galea for the outstanding result at the Commonwealth Games 2018 in Gold Coast Australia when he managed to win a bronze medal in his discipline. The success that Galea managed to secure was not a coincidence but was a result that summed up a lot of sacrifices, hard work and intense training. This was also the result of a very well organized association i.e. the MSSF. Regardless all the limitations that the Association passed through the same organization managed to keep the standards high and kept the professionalism throughout the years.  A well-deserved achievement also to the Malta Olympic Committee members for giving the right and ideal tools to the athletes in order to be elite or professional in their Sport so as to get better results in international competitions. Malta attends the 81st AIPS Congress

The Malta Sports Journalists Association attended the Annual Congress of AIPS - the International Sports Press Association. The 81st Congress which was held in Brussels between the 8th - 9th May, included several interesting items related to the Sports Media. Some of the subjects that were discussed included the Digital Media era leading to the ongoing trend of information being disseminated through social media. The Congress approved the ongoing reforms within the AIPS Commissions and the way forward for the AIPS Young Reporters Programmes. The delegates gathered from all around the World had the opportunity to learn more about the two bids to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup presented by the Morocco Football Federation and by #United26 a joint bid put forward by the Football Associations of the United States, Mexico and Canada.
