The Malta Sports Journalists Association has been asked by HE The President of Malta Dr Marie Louise Coleiro Preca to contribute administratively before and during this year's President's Solidarity Fun Run which will be held on Sunday 19th November 2017.  MSJA President Sandro Micallef together with members Antvin Monseigneur, Joanna Camilleri and Stephen Azzopardi will be in front of the respective walk / run groups to lead the event.

The Committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association disassociates itself from the ‘Stunt’ of propaganda that MFA tried to perpetrate by providing a steamer before the BOV Premier matches during the weekend with a statement of: 'Football for Life Supports Free Press' (as seen in the photo).   The Executive committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association continued meeting more associations with the aim of strengthening the relation between the sports media and the administrators of local sports federations and associations. The Malta Sports Journalists Association met the Malta Triathlon Federation and Malta Rugby Football Union during these last few days. The Malta Triathlon Federation was represented by its President Cyprian Dalli and the Vice President Oswald Spiteri, whilst in a separate meeting the MRFU was represented by President Steve Busuttil and George Zammit Montebello who is the person responsible for public relations of the Malta Rugby Football Union. These meetings are being on the initiative of the newly appointed MSJA President Sandro Micallef as part of an ongoing programme to build a stronger and excellent relationship between the Malta Sports Journalists Association and the various national sports associations. Il-Kumitat Eżekuttiv tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports kompla jiltaqa' ma' aktar assoċjazzjonijiet bil-għan li tisaħħaħ ir-relazzjoni bejn il-media tal-isport u l-amministraturi tal-federazzjonijiet u l-assoċjazzjonijiet sportivi lokali. Fl-aħħar ġranet l-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports kellha laqgħat uffiċjali mal-Federazzjoni Maltija tat-Triathlon kif ukoll mal-Malta Rugby Football Union (MFRU). Il-Federazzjoni tat-Triathlon kienet rapreżentata mill-President Cyprian Dalli u mill-Viċi President Oswald Spiteri, filwaqt li l-uffiċjali tal-MRFU preżenti għal laqgħa separata mal-GħĠS kienu l-President Steve Busuttil u George Zammit Montebello li hu l-uffiċjal tal-MRFU responsabbli mill-media. Dawn il-laqgħat qed isiru fuq inizjattiva tal-President il-ġdid tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports Sandro Micallef bħala parti mill-ħidma tiegħu bl-iskop li titjieb mhux biss il-kummunikazzjoni bejn iż-żewġ partijiet iżda sabiex jisaħħu r-relazzjonijiet eżistenti ma' kemm jista' jkun numru wiesa' ta' amministraturi ta' dixxiplini sportivi.
