Anthony Borg (Għawm) u Alex Degabriele (Tennis) huma r-rebbieħa tal-unur tal-Atlas Atleta Żagħżugħ tax-Xahar għal Lulju 2024. Anthony Borg li ghandu 17-il sena, għam id-distanza ta’ 37 kilometru madwar Għawdex fi ftit anqas minn 12-il siegħa. B’hekk Anthony sar l-iżgħar għawwiem li qatt għamel din l-għawma fuq distanza fit-tul. Min-naħa l-oħra Alex Degabriele li għandu 20 sena, rebaħ il-kompetizzjoni tal-15k tad-doubles organizzata mill-Federazzjoni Internazzjonali tat-Tennis (ITF), f’Monastir, fit-Tuneżija, flimkien mal-Marokkin Youness Lalami Laaroussi. Alex u Youness kellhom ġimgħa sħiħa impenjattiva kontra avversarji ferm ikkwotati fir-ranking tat-tennis. Għaldaqstant huma kienu determinati li jirbħu dan it-titlu prestiġġjuż. Alex ħa sehem f’dan l-ITF Pro Circuit, waqt il-waqfa li kellu mill-impenji tiegħu fin-North Carolina Willington University, fl-Istati Uniti. On Saturday afternoon, Bayern Munich were the winner of the first edition of VisitMalta Cup against Tottenham Hotspur with the result of 3-2, in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The main aim of this game was that of strengthening the flow of sports tourism, with both the respective teams having thousands of supporters following them from around the world. Apart from this, both in the United Kingdom as well as in Germany, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have the strongest wave of supporters in Europe. Throughout the game Malta’s name was mentioned several times by VisitMalta, a game which was broadcasted live both on British and German stations.
