The Malta Sports Journalists Association (MSJA) proudly announces its successful attainment of a grant from the Small Initiative Support Scheme (SIS), managed by the Malta Council for Voluntary Sector (MCVS) and supported by the Ministry for Inclusion and Voluntary Organisations (MIV). This significant achievement follows the Association’s previous grant through the Training Initiative Scheme (TIS), organising the first ever seminar dedicated to women in sports journalism.

The grants to voluntary organisations were presented by the Minister for Inclusion and Voluntary Organisations Julia Farrugia Portelli, together with the MCVS’ Chairperson Gertrude Buttigieg and the MCVS’ Chief Executive Officer Mauro Pace Parascandalo.

The grant, provided by MCVS, underscores the dedication and hard work of the Malta Sports Journalists Association in promoting sports journalism excellence within the Maltese community.

The grant from the Small Initiative Support Scheme aligns with MSJA’s overarching goal of advancing sports journalism standards, nurturing talent, and promoting the positive impact of sports within Maltese society. Through strategic utilization of this funding, the Association aims to offer another interesting insight to its members, this time about Mobile Journalism, known as MOJO.
