Following the resignation en bloc of the Executive Committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association (GħĠS) at the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, members present entrusted Honorary President Mr Charles Camenzuli with overseeing the next steps.

Mr Camenzuli was tasked with initiating the process to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) as a matter of urgency, during which a new Executive Committee will be elected.

Mr Camenzuli agreed to approach two more experienced and longstanding members of the Association, who will be invited to serve on the Electoral Commission to oversee the electoral process.

Members attending the AGM thanked the outgoing Executive Committee for its service over the past 13 months and wished these members well in their future endeavors.

A formal notice confirming the date and details of the EGM, together with a call for nominations for the post of President, General Secretary, Treasurer and 6 executive members, will be circulated to all members shortly.

To facilitate the administrative proceedings during this transitional period, the AGM appointed the undersigned as Interim Administrator, with responsibilities strictly limited to administrative matters.
