Partnership Proposal for the 2025 edition of the Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali

Dear Mr Ellul,

It is with great pleasure to inform you that the Executive Committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association started its preparations for the 2025 edition of the Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali.

Our prestigious awards now in their 65th consecutive year, will once again be broadcast live on local TV and on all social media platforms.

For this special occasion we have already set the date for this event which we can already share with you. The 65th edition of the Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali (Malta's Official Sports Awards) will be held on Saturday 1st March, 2025.

About us

The Malta Sports Journalists Association was founded on the 19th December 1970, formerly the Sports Writers Association, today known as Malta Sports Journalists Association, we are committed;

1. To help and assist sports reporters / journalists / photographers, camera persons and other members of the press to execute their duties in the most appropriate way.

2. To ensure that all members are granted free access to all Sports events and are provided with adequate media facilities.

3. To assist and guide in circumstances when members face difficulties in covering sports activities.

4. To organise on a yearly basis the Ghazliet Sportivi Nazzjonali where elite Maltese Sports athletes are given due recognition for their achievements.

5. To provide training to all sport media members.

6. To organise Sport media seminars in collaboration with Government entities such as SportMalta, Malta Broadcasting Authority, PBS, Ministry of Education, and with the University of Malta.

7. To insist on the right of freedom of expression.

8. To help sports media members to become AIPS members and make them aware of the benefits.

9. To organise Young reporters programmes addressed at upcoming sports media professionals for the next generation.

10. To always respect, defend Sports Press rights.

11. To support development and social initiatives of national importance for the benefit of the community across present and future generations.

We do this by rewarding acts of fair play with a quarterly Fair Play Award, a monthly award to Youth Athletes and an Elite Athlete Award every 2 months. We also introduced the Sport for Social Change Award in the last edition of L-Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali for those who organised a sporting activity or activities which left a positive impact on our society.

12. To contribute to major projects of national importance when it comes to sporting events and seminars.

13. Contributing to educational projects such as giving presentations about sport and media in schools, post-secondary schools and at the University of Malta.

14. To foster initiatives encouraging gender equality, prevention of discrimination and respect for human rights.

Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali - 65th Edition

We are very proud that for yet another year our event will be endorsed by the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Resources and Innovation.

A fully fletched marketing campaign will start running as of December 2024, the month where we usually open the official nomination process through all Sports Associations and Federations.

We would like you to kindly consider this email as an official partnership / sponsorship request for your entity NDSF to become a Platinum partner for this event for the years 2025 and 2026.

We have specifically decided to send such a proposal this early as we understand that in the next weeks/months you will be working on the 2025 marketing / advertising budget.
