The Malta Sports Journalists Association condemns personal attacks towards sports journalist Joanna Camilleri

‌ joanna

The executive committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association categorically condemns the personal attacks that have been addressed to TVM Sport journalist Joanna Camilleri over the past few days.

The Malta Sports Journalists Association also condemns all comments described as malicious and personal attacks and retains its position that hate speech is not tolerated in today's society.

It is sad to note that individuals behind their keyboard try to ridicule the work of sports journalists, especially in this case, a female sports journalist who was rightfully doing her job.

The Malta Sports Journalists Association encourages other individuals and organisations to join the association in such condemnation.

The Malta Sports Journalists Association is in constant contact with its member Joanna Camilleri at this moment and is offering all the necessary assistance.
