TSG Fair Play Award Main Artwork-100

Call for nominations for the first TGS Fair Play Award of 2023

For the third consecutive year, the Malta Sports Journalists Association (MSJA), as an associate member of the Malta Fair Play Movement (MFPM), has teamed up with Together Gaming Solutions (TGS) to give recognition to the concept of fair play in sport as well as to revive the Fair Play Award.

The concept of the Fair Play Award and its recognition in Malta date back to the 1980s, when the late sports journalist Lewis Portelli introduced and organised this award aimed at sporting individuals or teams who would have distinguished themselves with an altruistic gesture of fair play during official and non-official competitions.

Experts in the local sports scene have been accepted to form part of the MFPM, which, together with the MSJA, will be making assessments and evaluations of eventual fair play nominations. The adjudicating panel is formed by Charles Camenzuli (Chairperson), Adele Muscat, Pierre Cassar, Kevin Joseph Azzopardi and Sandro Micallef.

At the moment, the MFPM is evaluating entries related to the fair play concept that associations, sports officials and athletes might have experienced during the January–March 2023 period.

Details of the event or competition as well as details of the athlete(s), team(s), or official(s) involved are to be indicated.

The panel will therefore consider fair play situations forwarded by the general public, sports associations, and federations by email to info@maltasportsjournalists.com by no later than 14th April 2023.

Sejħa għan-nominazzjonijiet għall-ewwel TGS Fair Play Award tas-sena 2023

Għat-tielet sena konsekuttiva, l-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports (GħĠS) flimkien mal-Malta Fair Play Movement (MFPM) u b'kollaborazzjoni ma' Together Gaming Solutions (TGS) qed jirrikonoxxu l-kunċett ta' fair play fl-isport bl-għotja tat-TGS Fair Play Award.

Il-kunċett tal-Fair Play Award f'Malta jmur lura għas-snin tmenin, meta l-mibki iżda qatt minsi ġurnalist sportiv Lewis Portelli kien introduċa u organizza dan l-award intiż għal dawk fil-qasam tal-isport kemm fuq livell individwali jew bħala tim għal mod atruwistiku f’kompetizzjoni/ijiet uffiċjali jew le.

Esperti fil-qasam tal-isport lokali ngħaqdu flimkien fi ħdan l-MFPM, sabiex flimkien mal-GħĠS, jevalwaw in-nominazzjonijiet b’rabta mal-kunċett ta’ Fair Play. Il-panel huwa magħmul minn Charles Camenzuli (Chairperson), Adele Muscat, Pierre Cassar, Kevin Joseph Azzopardi u Sandro Micallef.

Bħalissa l-MFPM qed jikkonsidra s-sitwazzjonijiet ta’ Fair Play li għaddew minnhom l-assoċjazzjonijiet, uffiċjali tal-isport u/ jew atleti matul il-perjodu Jannar – Marzu 2023.

Kemm il-pubbliku kif ukoll l-assoċjazzjonijiet u l-federazzjonjiet sportivi huma mitluba li jibagħtu d-dettalji tal-avveniment jew kompetizzjoni flimkien ma' tagħrif dwar l-atleti, timijiet jew uffiċjali involuti f'ġest ta' fair play.

Dettalji tan-nominazzjonijiet għandhom jintbgħatu permezz ta’ email info@maltasportsjournalists.com sa mhux aktar tard mill-14 ta’ April 2023.
